Finance Council

A Pastor appointed group that serves as a valuable resource to him when making financial decisions on behalf of the parish. the Finance Council helps prepare the annual budget, reviews monthly operating results, tracks investment performance and monitors the sale of real property.

The Council is also responsible for overseeing the physical condition of the parish buildings and property and providing input and direction on major capital projects such as the recent church furnace upgrade. This involves joint review with the Pastor of proposals and specifications for major church repairs and needed renovations.

Experience in the finance services or building construction industries are particularly good backgrounds for parishioners wanting to serve on the Finance Council.

Meetings are held every other month. Once appointed to the Council, term of service is normally for three years at the discretion of the Pastor.
